A rural Ontario beauty, this storey and a half stone house catches the eye of anyone travelling in the Kintore area. Victorian in style, the combination of the dressed fieldstone with limestone quoins and nicely proportioned woodwork makes this one of my all time favourites. Interestingly the mason to whom this house is accredited, William Crellin, spread his talent around the area, with several wonderful examples of the stone mason's art nearby. I imagine the lucky owners smile each time they turn into the lane way. Painting of Maple Lawn built by J.T. Crellin in 1878.
